RMI Education and Skills Strengthening Project
The Government of the Republic of Marshall Islands has received financing from the World Bank for the Education and Skills Strengthening Project (ESSP) cost. It plans to use part of the earnings for seeking advice from services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) will help the Project Manager and the RMI National Training Council in executing the World Bank-funded job efficiently.
The assignment will focus on supporting the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in producing a structure for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for TVET, targeted at helping the College of the Marshall Islands and the RMI National Training Council assess and improve the abilities of workers through certified college accreditation.
The in-depth Terms of Reference (TOR) for the task are indicated in the attached Terms of Reference (ToR).
The National Training Council now welcomes qualified individuals (“Consultants”) to show their interest in supplying the Services. Women and Youth Training for
Gender Equality, Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction and Water Safety Management has just recently taken place at the University of the South Pacific’s campus in Majuro, the Republic of the Marshall Islands(rmi national training council ). This vital training was organized by the United Nations Development Programme( UNDP )Pacific Office through the Addressing Climate Vulnerability in the Water Sector(ACWA) task. The week-long capacity-building training aimed to empower females and youth with the understanding and practices needed for climate-resilient water security management in the
Republic of the Marshall Islands(RMI ). This training strengthens a commitment to improving RMI’s water security and neighborhood durability against environment modification impacts, specifically females
and youth, making sure that nobody is left behind. The training welcomed participants from all 24 atolls and included resource speakers from federal government firms, non-governmental companies, and worldwide development partners from the RMI Environmental Protection Authority, Climate Change Directorate, Office of the Chief Secretary, Ministry of Culture and Internal Affairs, National Disaster Management Office, Women United Together Marshall Islands, rmi national training council Human Trafficking Task Force, Waan Aelõñ in Majel, Jo-Jikum, and the International Organization for Migration. In her opening remarks, Secretary for the Ministry of Culture and Internal Affairs, Brenda Alik, underscored the significance of collective action in building a climate-resilient nation.”It is our obligation to come together and work together. As we face the obstacles positioned by climate change, understanding its influence on our water resources is essential for improving the wellness of neighborhoods across the Marshall Islands,”she said.
RMI Environmental Protection Authority General Manager Moriana Philip highlighted in her speech the important function of females and youth in addressing climate-related difficulties.”This workshop unites us from numerous communities to attend to the pressing issues we deal with today, consisting of climate-related challenges, especially on our water resources.”We want to stress the crucial function of ladies and youth in this job as your participation contributes to its success and beyond, “she stated.

In 2000, ADB approved a loan for $9.1 million to enhance skills training to offer trained employees required for sustained economic and social advancement. This was to be accomplished through an integrated nationwide abilities training system. The job consisted of 4 parts: advancement of a profession awareness program, abilities training enhancement, boosted abilities training opportunities for females and youth, and institutional strengthening. The job was supply-driven and could not develop a strong linkage with private sector requirements or align its activities with the needs of the labour market. The status of the technical and professional education training system has remained basically the exact same after project conclusion.
